Lares Trek Itinery
DAY 01: Cusco – Lares hot Springs – Haucawasi
Three-hour travel by our tourist bus from Cusco to the village of Lares where you can relax in the Natural hot springs; and in the afternoon trek for four hours gradually up to the community of Wacahuasi.
Day 2: Trek from Hacawasi to Patacancha
Today is the longest and the hardest day because we’ll trek over the highest pass located at 4,600 masl from where you’ll be rewarded by stunning mountain scenery; then, we’ll descend gradually to Patacancha camp.
Day 3: Trek From Patacancha to Ollantaytambo & train to Aguas Calientes town
The trail continues descending gradually. Along the way, we’ll pass picturesque communities and some unexplored Inca ruins; in the afternoon, we’ll take the train for two hours to the picturesque town of Aguas Calientes and you’ll have accommodation in the hotel.
Day 4: Explore Machu Picchu
Very early, we’ll explore Machu Picchu; you also will have free time within Machu Picchu to explore alone; in the afternoon, you’ll return to Cusco by train.

Pre-departure briefing: You will meet your guide and group in our office, for an orientation trek and provide you the duffle bags which will be carried by our horses. Meeting at 7:00 PM the evening before the trip begins.
